Anglicanism started in the 16th century as a national church of the English (and Welsh) people. Later, through mission, colonial expansion and migration it spread over the entire globe to the point where today there are Anglican or Episcopal churches in 165 countries. These churches and 
congregations bring together people from many different backgrounds: old and young, white-collar and blue-collar, migrants and natives, American military and British civilians, city dwellers and country folk, lawyers and poets – all with their own language, heritage, customs, strengths and weaknesses. We all are not just individually different, we also carry a particular culture within us, values, attitudes, expectations which are powerful but often only partially conscious. How do the many become one body? And what role do Anglican identity and theology play in this process?

For whom? The seminar is in English. It is primarily (but not exclusively) aimed at students and trainee ministers. It requires some understanding of theology. The seminar is open to members of all Christian denominations incl. overseas students in Germany.
